Powering Cities, Industry, and Mobility
Liquefied and compressed natural gas are often discussed in export terms, but their domestic applications may be even more transformative for Congo.
Gas-fired plants offer reliable baseload power with shorter construction timelines than large hydro or coal projects. LNG can supply coastal and inland plants where pipelines are not viable.
Industries such as cement, mining services, and food processing need predictable energy prices. Gas reduces exposure to diesel price volatility and improves competitiveness.
CNG and LNG for trucks, buses, and fleets can reduce fuel costs and emissions. While adoption takes time, captive fleets are a logical starting point.
LNG requires liquefaction and storage, while CNG relies on compression and distribution. The right choice depends on distance, scale, and demand density.
Domestic LNG and CNG are not side projects. They are central to building internal demand and anchoring gas infrastructure.
